How can I make this curriculum work for a small VBS?
The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything VBS is so flexible that it will work for both small and large churches. If your church is small, you can simply allow the children to rotate through all the sites together. This would require each site captain to teach his or her section only once.
On the other hand, if your church is large and expects to have 150-300 kids, you will need to add additional sites and leaders. The kit services 150 kids, so for each additional leader, you will need to order either another kit or extra guides and ancillary materials.
Can I use this kit for something other than a 5-day VBS program?
Absolutely! This kit is flexible enough to work for early evening programs, Summer Sunday School, Weekend Family Camp, Children’s Camp, and Wednesday night programs. The Elementary Director’s Guide offers helpful tips on how to make this kit work for your needs.
Bible Translation
What Bible translation does this VBS use?
We use the International Children’s Bible® (ICB), a kid-friendly translation that is written specifically for a third-grade reading level.

Can I return opened product for a credit?
You may return product as long as the packaging has not been opened (e.g. the parrot puppet bag, pirate ship wheel bag, etc.).
Can I burn additional copies of the Music CD if I need more than one copy?
The VeggieTales music is licensed product by Big Idea, and we must pay a royalty each time we use their music. We cannot grant permission to copy these works and highly recommend that you purchase additional copies online at www.veggiepiratesvbs.com or by calling our toll-free number 1-800-933-9673.
Do I really need to purchase a set of the Bible Memory Verse Doubloons (or pirate coins) for each child who attends VBS?
The Bible Memory Verse Doubloons help children remember the day’s theme and Bible Memory Verse, therefore we encourage you to purchase one set per child. Children are able to take the doubloons home with them and share what they learned at VBS with their family and friends.
